Art Village Early Childhood Centre is a premier Reggio Emilia-inspired Early Childhood Centre that combines Nordic educational philosophies with innovative educational concepts. Emphasizing the “Forest School” approach where nature serves as the greatest teacher, Art Village aims to foster children’s natural curiosity and love of learning through outdoor exploration and community-based experiences. Our commitment is to provide children with authentic, nature-connected learning experiences that foster curiosity, resilience, and the joys of discovery. Our approach uniquely emphasizes sustainability, outdoor learning, and village community values – elements increasingly sought after by Dubai’s discerning parents who prioritize holistic development over traditional academic pressure
All children ages 12 months to 6 years old are welcome to partake in the safe, harmonious and creative environment that Art Village Nursery offers. With us, we are confident that your children will build a strong self-esteem, good friendships, and explore their desire to play and learn.
Curriculum
Art Village Nursery follows the Nordic curriculum blended with Reggio Emilia approach. We offer a safe and healthy environment that fosters children’s physical, intellectual, psychological, social and emotional development. Democracy forms the foundation of the nursery. It should promote all children’s development and learning, and a lifelong desire to learn. The nursery actively and consciously influence and stimulate children into developing their understanding and acceptance of democratic values and practices.
We believe that all children are unique and develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. We therefore follow up on a child’s development through individual detailed observations and documentation of learning instead of having strict assessments and developmental guidelines which only puts pressure on the child. Our aim is to strengthen the child’s self-esteem by creating an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect.
Settling In
At Art Village ECC, we want every child’s start to feel safe and positive. Parents are welcome to stay until their child feels comfortable in the new environment, which often takes one to two weeks. Being close to a parent helps children feel calm and secure, making it easier to build trust with teachers and friends. Every child is unique, so we adapt the settling-in process to individual needs and family wishes.
To adapt the settling in the goal is for the parent and child to have a good start at the nursery and have a good settling in experience.
Visit our website www.artvillagenursery.com for the different settling in options.
Kitchen
Art Village Nursery provides the children with a healthy and balanced home Cooke school menu that is carefully planned to ensure that the children will receive a variety of different foods geared to provide all of the essential daily nutrients required to maintain a good health. The menu consists of breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. We also serve fruit during mid-morning to ensure that energy levels are maintained.
Languages
With the core curriculum being taught in English we also offer Arabic and French to all our learners and Swedish for native speakers.

The Best Nursery in Dubai ,A Truly Magical Place for Children. Our daughter Dalia is now in her second year at Art Village Nursery, in the Tambourine Class with Ms. Ajantha as her wonderful lead teacher and the amazing Ms. Britney and Ms. Christine as assistant teachers. Every morning, she runs through the gate with a huge smile and that, to me, says everything about this incredible place. Before enrolling Dalia, we visited ten different nurseries across Dubai, but nothing even came close to the unique philosophy and atmosphere of Art Village Nursery. Their approach to early childhood education is simply exceptional, creative, nurturing, and deeply respectful of each child’s individuality. You can feel how much thought and heart go into every detail, from the beautiful natural environment to the way the teachers guide the children with gentleness and purpose. Ms. Ajantha is truly gifted, her warmth, patience, and creativity have made a remarkable difference in Dalia’s confidence and independence. Ms. Britney and Ms. Christine are equally wonderful, always kind, attentive, and full of joy. Together they create a classroom that feels like a second home. And a special mention must go to Ms. Susanne, the Headmaster. Her leadership is inspiring, she knows every child by name, is always present, and has created a school culture that radiates love, respect, and harmony. Art Village is not just a nursery, it’s a community, a philosophy, and a magical start to a child’s learning journey. I feel endlessly grateful that Dalia gets to grow, explore, and thrive in such a place. I only wish Art Village could turn into a full school, because we would never want to leave.

Art Village Nursery is truly exceptional! I’m beyond happy and grateful with our experience at Art Village Nursery. From the very first day, the team has been incredibly supportive in helping my children settle in — with so much care, patience, and love. The activities they do every day are creative, engaging, and full of learning through play. The principal is absolutely amazing — her leadership, warmth, and dedication really shine through in everything the staff does. You can feel that the whole team genuinely cares about the children’s wellbeing and development. I couldn’t be happier with the nurturing environment they’ve created. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a place where children are truly seen, supported, and inspired!

This is the first nursery experience for our 2 year old son, and as first time parents, we wanted to make sure we found the right place for him. Before enrolling, we visited a couple of other nurseries, but Art Village stood out right away. The moment we stepped in, we felt the warmth and genuine care from all the staff especially Ms. Susanne. The environment felt safe, nurturing, and filled with positivity. Exactly what we wanted for our little one. We also loved their approach to early education. It’s creative, balanced, and play-based, allowing children to learn while having fun. It’s been a month since we joined, and we can already see such wonderful changes in our son. He has become more confident, communicates better, and enjoys playing and socializing with other children. Every day, he’s excited to go to nursery, which says a lot! What makes Art Village special is the strong sense of community. The teachers, staff, and parents are all connected. It doesn’t feel like just a nursery, but a place that genuinely cares about each child’s growth and happiness. We’re so grateful to have found Art Village . It’s more than just a place of learning, it’s a nurturing environment where our son is growing, exploring, and thriving every day. Highly recommended to any parent looking for a safe, loving, and enriching first school experience for their child.

A Truly Magical Start to Childhood Finding AV has been one of the greatest gifts for our family. Both my children — one 2.5 and the other just turned 5 — absolutely thrive here. The nursery’s nature-inspired approach is unlike anything else we’ve seen. There are hardly any plastic toys, yet the play environment feels endlessly rich and creative. Everything around them encourages curiosity, sustainability, and respect for resources — lessons that feel so important in today’s world. What really stands out is how open-minded and thoughtful the team is. They genuinely listen to parents and continuously find meaningful ways to enrich the children’s experience. A perfect example is how they recently worked with one of the wonderful parents to introduce woodworking as a way to teach children maths — a concept so valuable and real compared to tapping on a screen. It’s learning through doing, through touch, through connection — and that’s what makes this place so special. The children are trusted and empowered every day. They go on nature walks even before they’ve fully mastered walking — such a simple, beautiful thing that reflects the school’s belief in real-world exploration over screens or artificial stimulation. My two often get to visit each other’s classes and help one another during the day, and this sense of community and connection is so unique and heartwarming to witness. In a city driven by consumerism and technology, AV feels like a haven — a place where young minds can truly rest, play, and grow. Here, children learn empathy, compassion, adaptability, and the joy of simple things — the real building blocks of a meaningful life. If there’s one bittersweet part, it’s that the magic ends at Year 1. It’s hard to imagine moving on from such a nurturing, thoughtful environment. Many of us parents even find ourselves considering homeschooling, simply because nothing else compares to the foundation AV has given our children. We’re deeply grateful to the team for creating a place where childhood is honored, nature is celebrated, and learning feels like an adventure.

My daughter has been attending Art Village Nursery for three academic years, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. The Swedish curriculum, combined with a nature-friendly, family-oriented, and warm environment, truly sets AVN apart. The nursery’s emphasis on sensory activities and learning through play gave us peace of mind as parents, knowing that our child was not only learning but also truly enjoying her childhood. The consistent and meaningful interactions with nature(whether in the forest, on the beach, or in the desert) helped her grow and learn in a way that felt natural and age-appropriate. While we’re sad to be leaving this special place as our daughter moves on to big school, we’re deeply grateful for the incredible three years she had at AVN.

Art Village is one of a kind. I have visited 20+ nurseries and can honestly say that there is nowhere as special as Art Village. The experiences my husband and I have as parents, and the experiences my son has as a little learner are exceptional. The passion and care of the team at Art Village is inspiring and as a parent, comforting and reassuring. The leadership and training for staff is second to none. They have recently extended their training series to nannies which is a fantastic support to families. The educational standards at Art Village are exceptionally high, and unique for a nursery setting. I feel very fortunate that my son gets to attend Art Village. I could not be more grateful to my son’s teaching team and the incredible wider support team. It’s evident that they spend so much time behind the scenes working so hard to make the best possible learning experiences for our little children. ‘Learning’ aside, it is just a beautiful place to be. The staff and children are so happy. All the staff are welcoming, friendly and seem to know all the children. My son sometimes spends 9+ hour days there and doesn’t want to go home! I drop him off early in the morning and he doesn’t even look back to say goodbye. He’s so happy there. The team are so caring and love being around little people; as a parent, that’s the greatest comfort of all. For working parents, it is a flexible and supportive community. They have early drop offs and late picks ups. My son is thriving in the best nursery in Dubai and we I can’t thank Art Village enough for all they do. It's a privilege to be part of the Art Village community.

We have started a playful learning journey with the Art Village Nursery 4 years ago. My both children were just over 1 year old when we signed them up. In the world that we live in right now, it is so important to stay connected with the nature, to bring the balance to all the glitzy shiny things that surround us constantly, wherever we go. I fell in love with the nursery, because it reminded me of my own childhood, where the toys were twigs and leaves and we used our own imagination to create fun times. My children have gained a lot of confidence, skills, creativity and nourishment over the years in Art Village. It is a wonderful feeling to find a place, where you are always welcomed with a smile and where you know your children are safe and well looked after. Under a wonderful leadership of Ms. Susane Linder, the Art Village Nursery team has consistently shown a dedication and enthusiasm in educating and looking after our children, providing them with essential skills for the next steps of their life. A big Thank You from a bottom of my heart!

This is our second year in Art Village Nursery and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment I stepped inside for the tour, it instantly felt right, and it consistently exceeded my expectations ever since. Unlike many other nurseries, it’s truly inspiring to see how they help children connect with nature and explore their surroundings through everyday activities. The entire team is exceptionally welcoming, caring, and attentive to each child’s individual needs. They genuinely care about making children feel happy, engaged, and confident. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Suzanne Linder, the principal, for fostering such a nurturing and loving environment; to my daughter’s first teacher, Ms. Milana, whose gentle approach and joyful spirit made her feel at home; to her current teacher, Ms. Echo, who goes above and beyond each day to create a fun and imaginative learning space; and to each and every teacher, teacher assistant and staff member for their constant care, love and support.
